Fun with Scottish

I was thinking the other day how different Scottish English is from American English or even English English, for that matter. Here are some some that spring to mind:

Meanings:
Tea = both a cuppa or evening dinner/meal
Supper = lunch
Pudding = dessert
Haar = fog
Bucket = bin/trashcan
Roll = bread or sandwich (when "filled roll")
Bap = hamburger buns
Plate of soup = bowl of soup

Unexpected Pronunciations:
Gairoch (regional area near Inverurie) = gary
Strachan (place near Banchory) = strawn (although when a surname, it's
strack-en)
Banchory = bank-ery
Mhairi (gaelic girl's name) = vaar-ie
-burgh = brrah, as in Edinburgh or Fraserburgh

Of course, where we live in Aberdeen there's a whole separate dialect, Doric, that's nearly a separate language in itself! Can you think of others?
