Hard to believe Christmas has already come and gone, and we're on the edge of another year.
We went to Denmark as usual for Christmas this year. It was a little more quiet than previous years. Jens was in South Africa with Prinitha and Christian was spending time with Diana. But we had a lovely, relaxing time just the same.
We were greeted with mounds of snow, which slowly melted away as the weather turned to rain. Our time was a bit short, but we got to visit with some friends and made it out to Stevns Klint for a walk on what turned out to be the nicest day, weather-wise.

Sne Hund
We've had a bit of snow lately, much to Rosie's delight. She absolutely loves playing in the snow! It's really fun to watch and I'm always amazed that she doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact it's freezing.

For Rosie to chase!
The snow really sticks to her fur, so much that when we come back inside, she has to be rinsed off (instead of towel-dried) as that's the only way we can get the snow off.

New Boots
My black boots finally fell apart. I loved them. They were my trusty winter sidekicks. Alas, no more.
So, I got these bad boys in the Fenwicks sale. Hey, it's the season for giving, right?

First Snowfall
We had our first snowfall of the season on Thursday night. Friday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland. I still love the snow - maybe it's because I can still commute on my bike.

Christmas Scenes
It's finally starting to feel a little bit like Christmas around here. Our home feels hyggelig and it's turned cold outside.

New Lamp
We finally got a much-needed new lamp. What do you think?
I like how it complements the clock. Who would've thought they're 50 years apart?

Weekend in Embleton
Last weekend, we took off up the north coast for a little anniversary break. Our friends have a couple holiday cottages in the small village of Embleton, so we stayed there in the East Lodge Croft. It was perfectly relaxing and cosy.
On Saturday, we walked along the beach to Low Newton-by-the-Sea, where we had lunch at the Ship Inn. Can't be a fresh crab sandwich and locally brewed beer!
