I've been using the super cool and super popular Hipstamatic app on my iPhone. I really like how the app colours, shades and adds moods to the photos. But that said, the iPhone is awful to use as a camera. The whole functionality of the phone's camera is just crap - slower than a snail shutter speed, low pixel count, lack of an actual button, etc.
Anyway, here are some photos from the past week or so, and more recently from our brief visit to Aberdeen and St Andrews this weekend.
At home with the Pedersens
Along the Deeside line in Cults

At the beach at St Andrews
These ones are my favourite. I love the light and the graininess.

Hello Sunshine!
We've finally started to have some warm weather this week. Typical of how the English weather goes, it's freezing (literally) one week and boiling the next! Today it's at least 25'c, which is remarkable considering it's Saturday. Everybody knows the best weather is during the week when you're stuck inside at work.
We've had an appropriately chilled out day, lounging outside in the sun.
I started the day in jeans and a t-shirt, but it was hot enough by 10:00 to switch to shorts and a tank top. It's not often that happens around here!
Somebody decided she wanted the comfy seat.

Spring Cleaning
We've tackled spring cleaning with a vengence this year. The big project was to repaint the walls in the back yard, which required a lot of prep work as crumbling mortar was an issue. We also re-arranged things, moving the bike shed from the sunny spot to the shady spot, which will hopefully help flowers grow a bit better.
Evidence of spring already!
The infamous formerly dead vine is making a vicious comeback.
In the spare room, I've been cleaning out drawers, cupboards, bookshelves - in the case of the latter, removing it completely! There was a horrible and useless little shelf in the alcove on the other side of the fireplace, which I took out and replaced with some nice photos.
And of course, the finished fireplace in our bedroom. I'm quite chuffed with it. :)
