New Art

Inspired by our freshly painted walls (and bored with what was there before), we've recently updated our "artwork" collection and purchase a few new visual treats.

This one comes from San Diego and shows all the coastal counties of CA. I love the colour of the State. It goes nicely against our "chalk" walls. (Yes, that was the colour on the label, but in reality, it's more like sand. It's actually grown on me now.)

These are 3 animal prints from somewhere in the States. We had seen some animal prints at the Biscuit Factory earlier in the year and really like them, but at £250 a pop (plus framing) they were a little out of budget. You can't tell too well from the photo, but each animal has a different texture - the owl is hounds-tooth, elephant is plaid/tartan, and the turtle is a honeycomb pattern.

The final one is a funny mod print from Etsy. It's in our hallway (bad photo below, but shown for context).

We're not quite a mid-century modern home, but getting there.
