We moved last weekend from one No. 12 to another - just a few streets over! We're so pleased we found a flat in West Jesmond. We LOVE the neighbourhood - great shops, close to town and work, lots of parks, and generally just hygge - but we hated the students upstairs. We're now at the other end of West Jesmond, which is decidedly less studenty and more "professional".
Our new flat is lovely. It's a lower Tyneside flat (again), so the layout and size is pretty much the same as the one on Fairfield Road. But Holmwood Grove is much brighter (better/more windows, lighter paint) and has some wonderful "extras" that are making life a little more enjoyable, like a proper size fridge/freezer; the best shower I've ever experienced since moving to the UK; an actual pantry!; a sunny little garden; and some amazing cupboards, both in the bedrooms and in the kitchen.
You'll have to come see for yourself!
