Last weekend we took a "city break" in Glasgow, or Weegieville, as I call it. I had to go on Friday for a seminar for work, so Ole joined me late in the afternoon. We splashed out and had a couple hours at Spa in the City before hitting the Merchant City for the evening.
Glasgow is a great city. The architecture is beautiful and the people are so friendly. It was boiling hot that weekend, so everybody was out! On Saturday, we took an open-bus-top tour and visited the recently (2005?) renovated Kelvingrove Museum. We then walked allll the way across the city to see the Cathedral and Necropolis, with stunning views overlooking the city and hills beyond. We rounded it off with some great Japanese food in the West End and then took the train back Sunday.

2. People from Glasgow are called Glaswegians, or Weegies, hence Weegieville. It sounds much more fun than Glasgow. To me.
