Well, our grand family adventure of 2009 has come to an end. We had an amazing 2.5 weeks of visiting family & friends and sightseeing.
Along the way, we took in quite a few UNESCO World Heritage sites, including:
*Roskilde Cathedral and Kronborg Castle in Denmark (ok, we just passed by, but it counts, right?)
*Aachen Cathedral in Germany
*Defence Line of Amsterdam in Netherlands (again, passed by it)
*Durham Cathedral and Hadrian's Wall (Frontiers of Roman Empire) in UK
Just a small dent in the 890 listed places!
Since we saw so much, I've decided to break it down into country-specific posts, with a bit of text on what we did/saw whilst there. So prepare yourselves: it's family vacation slideshow time!
